The expansion of the family led to the need for another room in a spacious apartment with one bedroom. The owner's task is to renovate the old spacious apartment with one bedroom in a way to find a room for a children's room for two children of the same sex, and to add a toilet to the existing bathroom, and it is necessary that the costs be reduced to a minimum retaining certain pieces of furniture.
The task of the owner was fully respected, the long line kitchen with the island was turned into an L-shaped kitchen, with most parts of the kitchen being completely kept, while some segments were corrected, which reduced the size of the kitchen, but not the work area in the very kitchen. The dining room was moved to a part of the balcony that was closed, giving space for the required additional room, so that the dining room and part of the kitchen area became a bedroom. The living room was not disturbed, it stayed in the same position, with no direct access to the balcony, but through the dining room. The library within the living room has been reduced and a part of the library has been turned into a toilet. The library is grouped in the rest of the space, with all books being placed in a wardrobe to draw out, and books are no longer part of the interior.
Neutral tones of gray and dark gray (anthracite) were kept from the previous apartment, with the addition of a shade of wood, resulting in a combination of modern and warm lines. Lighter colors make the living room open and airy, making it more spacious at the same time.
Lighting is a key factor in any room. The key to good illumination lies in its layering over the living room from floor to ceiling. The use of different types of lighting helps to illuminate all surfaces of the room, which also helps its visual enlargement and feeling spacious.
