Family Villa MH has been designed to meet the needs of a married couple with children. It is located in a natural setting on the sparsely populated city periphery, on a large plot and a mild elevation along the edge of the forest area, overlooking the forest and the surrounding hills.
The directions of movement in the interior are further emphasized in the outer volume of the house and represent its main design element. Direct stroll and pedestrian access to the facility is planned, a stroll which leads to the basement and a pedestrian walkway leads to the main entrance to the ground floor. The materials are in correlation with the spatial content disposition. The natural landscape influenced the selection of natural materials wood, stone in combination with white surfaces and large openings so it would be as compact as possible. The glass walls of the living spaces allow for almost completely open and good communication with the terrain.
The communication between the common and individual rooms, makes the contents and the functions of the space connected in a unique whole that creates a suitable family space.
The ground floor is also the entrance floor for the family's dwelling, as well as the room for parents. Daily contents that extend to the outdoor terrain through wooden terraces, covered, opened and finally completely natural pebbly surfaces inscribed in the grass from which the view of the orchard and the surrounding hills extends. The living room, the dining room, and the kitchen make up a whole, from which the exits to the terrace with swimming pool are made, of which it is separated only by a glass wall. The slight staircase connects a breathable living room with individual family members on the floor. The open ground is directed to the outer space, while the partial closeness with the open terraces is only symbolically played by the relation between the intimate and the transparent.
Large glass walls, ceiling heights, and glass hobs on the staircase leak and direct light to the space of the house, and integrate the outer and inner space. The living room and dining area open on the terrace with a view of the orchard and the surrounding hills. Carpentry and its application, along with organization and form, are an important conceptual element of the house.
The important accent of the house is certainly a terrace with swimming pool and other contents, emphasizing that the family house, besides being home to one family, can become a space for the realization of various social interactions as well as the space of luxury.
